Permanent part-time position for an in-charge accountant, with flexible hours. It requires someone with good judgment to work on a variety of engagements with and without supervision. He or she will work on audits, reviews, compilations and, to a lesser extent, tax engagements; assist in decision making on all but the most unusual auditing, accounting and tax matters and; for more complex matters, will outline issues for his or her supervisor and act on that individual's advice.
A candidate most likely to enjoy, succeed and grow in this position will be a CPA with current experience in public accounting; enjoy public accounting and have enthusiasm for our profession; be interested in personal and professional development; be enthusiastic about a small firm environment and understand that this often means working in a "shirtsleeves" environment; have knowledge of FAS's and SAS's; have a good tax awareness and; have excellent computer skills. Consideration will be given to a candidate with some but not all of these qualifications, willing to learn and grow.
